Associate Director - AIF Banking Portfolio Manager in Lending
A fantastic opportunity has now become available in a top banking firm in Luxembourg. This is a massive client-facing focus where you can build on existing and new business and client, really allowing you to make an impact in your role.
It is a very forward-thinking and dynamic firm, growing their Luxembourg office, looking to build up their mid-senior level management team within alternative fund banking projects.
The role itself requires a dynamic attitude in the funds and banking sector, and good self-motivation to always do a good job. This role is a very important port of call for senior client management and meetings as well as different client queries. You will be dealing with marketing products, proactively going out in the business space as well as completing other operating and risk duties to ensure all regulations.
The role itself will involve an A-Z function with onboarding, client corresponding, working with a very modern CRM. You’ll be implementing some change and thinking critically in several projects.
Duties:
- Work with a growing team, managing a portfolio of new and existing clients
- Manage your own portfolio and build it up over time - a typical volume of 20+
- Coordinate client support to Senior Directors and Management teams across multiple jurisdictions
- Complete duties across all functions and investors in Risk, credit, and financing
- Opportunities to development wider new clients and manage their portfolios
- Continue to build further relationships through outstanding customer service
- Complete continued licencing updates and duties to get to know the company more and more
- Work and comply with the firm’s line of defence and controls within the regulations and governance (risk and compliance)
Essentials:
- Relevant degree in Finance/Accounting or Law, or previous relevant experience within a banking environment.
- Speak fluent English – Other European languages would be a plus (Nordic or German)
- Have minimum 4+ years working in Europe within financial structuring and ideally alternative funds
- Competent Excel and PowerPoint skills would be a major plus here.
- Worked on at least 10 active clients in your previous role and want to originate business yourself.
