Outside Sales Representative Position
Established in 1955, the Stanley M. Proctor Company is a USA based family-ownedindustrial distributor of hydraulics, pneumatics, measurement, instrumentation and control products.
We are incorporated in the country of Luxembourg and import products from over 100 leading manufacturers,along withcustomproducts built in our USA facility. We arelooking for a talented,established salesperson to help growour business in Europe.
Description
Outside Sales Representatives (or Sales Engineers) are responsible for sellingthe company’s products, value-add services and custom productsolutions to existing and prospective customers.Main emphasis is existing customer management and new business development. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Sales in the USA.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manages and develops customers inLuxembourg and other countries throughout Europe. This position is replacing a retired sales representativewith a producingaccount package.
- We estimate this position to work 20 hours per week maximum. Ideal candidate could be recently retiredor an existing sales representative selling non-competing products.
- Focuses on growing company market share with new and existing customers, including cold calling and prospecting for new accounts.
- Learns customers’ operations to propose appropriate products, services and solutions.
- Works with the company CRM tool to schedule, track and follow-up on sales calls, log opportunities and maintain customer information & contacts.
Skills Required
- Self-starter with a people-centric personality and the ability to persuade, influence and negotiate.
- Passion to turn prospects into customers.
- Drive to help customers find solutions to their problems and applications.
- Strong work ethic, organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and possess the ability to learn a CRM system.
Education and Qualifications
- Industrial sales, engineering and/or industrial maintenance experience a plus.Must have a strong mechanical aptitude.
- Application experience of Fluid Power/Industrial Automation Products preferred, specifically hydraulics, pneumatics, measurement & instrumentation.
- College graduate and/or field experience.
- Regular travel by personal vehicleor train to call on customers.
Compensation
- Compensation is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
